Beautiful in life, even more so in death.
Took this picture last summer(2010) in Colorado. Right outside of a friends Cabin.
Wow.
holy butts this is pretty
it is crazy rare for a skeleton to stay in one piece in the forest like that, that’s amazing.

Moray eels have pharyngeal jaws. They’re pretty awesome toothed (in this case) secondary jaws that spend most of their time exactly where their name implies. When the eel needs to really grab something, they snap forward. Yeah, it is a lot like Alien.

Because other people’s feelings matter? ^^;
I actually agree with this quote… not because of what’s being said- well, no, actually I do agree with what’s being said. He isn’t saying he has the right to offend you or that he has the right to beat up on you while you have no right to defend yourself, he’s saying he has a right to say something without censoring himself on the basis that it might offend someone and that the other person has the right to be offended, sure, but be mature enough to look the other way. They can keep going on with their life without attempting to use their offense as a mechanism of righteousness to censor someone else.
In this world we can’t say anything without offending someone so if we listened to every “that offends me!” and backed down or, in another scenario, never said anything that could possibly offend at all we would all be very silent people.
Oh sure you have the right to be offensive, but that doesn’t mean you’re not immune to criticism. It’s an intricate social dance on both ends; it’s important to recognize that sometimes there’s just no point in saying something if you know it’s going to offend people (eg: say you’re at a wedding and you have very different political views from just about everyone else there. There is no chance that you’re going to “win any of them over,” and you’re just going to tick people off, which in turn could end up turning what’s supposed to be a happy occasion into bitter memories for everyone), and it’s equally important to recognize that sometimes things are so petty and pointless that even if you’re offended it’s not worth the energy to get worked up over (eg- if an old man or woman in a nursing home makes some really homophobic remarks, it’s probably better to just let it go since you’re not going to change their minds and anyway they’re not in a position to really act on their homophobia)

Seriously it’s a moral and practically legal obligation of mine to reblog this every time.
Saw this movie when I was a kid, and thought it was okay. Saw it again as an adult, and it’s now one of my favourites
